In INTERVENE, you act as the owner-side Project Director responsible for one activity. Follow daily progress, consider an uncertain outlook, and decide whether to intervene. The briefing and evidence give you the context; you bring your experience and judgment.
Understand the decision as well as the outcome.
Begin with the contracted day crew. After Day 1, daily observations and forecasts help you weigh the current crew against an optional night shift paid for by the owner, whether or not an obstruction is found. Time, cost, and the uncertainty that remains all matter. A sound decision can still meet a difficult outcome.
Afterwards, a clear debrief brings together a judgement of your decisions, the reason, and a practical lesson, followed by the finish and cost results. Examine what you knew, what you chose, and the uncertainty you were working with.
